Mobile Food Pantry
Join us each month to help distribute food people in need in our community. Ten thousand pounds of food is delivered to our church for us to distribute. Volunteers help with set up at 8:30 a.m. Distribution begins about 9:30 a.m. and we finish around 11 a.m. Children can serve with parents (they must stay with you at all times). Questions? Contact Jon Mills

Interfaith Hospitality Network 
Our church is one of fourteen Athens area churches and communities of faith that provide shelter, meals and support for homeless families in crisis situations through the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Upcoming host weeks are as follows:

Denney Tower Bible Study
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." -Psalm 119:105
Would you like to teach our neighbors more about the Bible? We need Bible study leaders to walk across the street to Denney Tower each Sunday in November (2:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.) Our church is one of six that provide a Bible study to the residents at Denney Tower. Contact John Page to find out more and to pick up the Bible study lesson.

Our Daily Bread
"Give us today our daily bread." -Matthew 6:11
Our church prepares and serves lunch at Our Daily Bread soup kitchen twenty three times during the year. Sunday school groups, choir groups and UMW Circles serve together in this ministry. If you or your small group would like to serve at Our Daily Bread, please contact Nancy Witherington at (706) 353-1595.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
If you are an experienced knitter, would like to learn to knit, or if you crochet, please join us on Wednesday evenings at 4:30 for our Prayer Shawl Ministry. We meet in the parlor on the second floor next to the elevator. Our opening prayer is at 5:00 p.m. with closing prayer over completed shawls at 5:20 p.m. Some continue to knit after that. Come join us when possible!
